I love me some Topliners, but it can be a bit overwhelming if you're logging in for the first time. There are several new folks on my team and I put together the following tips, thought it might be beneficial to share with the rest of the community.
was also helpful for me when I was getting my feet wet. And if you have other tips for getting the most from Topliners, please share!
If you have 30 seconds…
- Visit the “Connections Stream” in the left sidebar of the homepage to see activity of all the people you follow.
- OR, visit your “Company Activity Feed” to see activity for ONLY your teammates (if you haven’t created this, use your 30 seconds to do that! - )
If you have 5 minutes…
- Click “Content” in the top navigation to see recently created content. You can sort by latest activity or most recently created. You can also sort to see recent discussions, blog posts, etc. if you prefer looking at a certain TYPE of content. If you happen to know the answer to a question you see, be kind and leave a response (or tag someone who you think may know, they may not have seen the post.)
- Search for posts related to your industry, a campaign you're working on, a feature in Eloqua you're trying to learn, etc.
- Join an Eloqua User Group (consider starting one if you don't see anything in your area).
If you have some time to kill...
- Visit Places and join a few relevant groups (Eloqua Insiders, Eloqua University, Client Empowerment, Friday Fun, etc.). By default, you will see updates for groups you have joined in your Connections stream. You can turn this off, or add add’l notifications if you also want to receive updates via email.
- Visit the Eloqua Insiders group to view documentation on the latest release.
- Visit the Power Hour hub, register for an upcoming session or watch a recording.
- Browse some bookmarks! Is there someone you follow whose content you particularly enjoy? Check out their bookmarks. Chances are they have saved something you haven't seen yet! (To find someone's bookmarks, visit their profile and click the bookmarks button at the top of their page).
There are many other tips, but this should get you started. Have a great weekend!
