We recently launched Salesforce.com in our organization, but we have not yet integrated it with Eloqua. The question came up about matching contact records in Eloqua to the Accounts in Salesforce. I've been told there is fuzzy matching in Salesforce, but heard that it is not great and that Salesforce has a very difficult time matching fields from other sources to Accounts. Has this been an issue for others and how do people handle matching and rolling up a contact to an account? I'm especially worried about the initial connection where we may have thousands of contacts in Eloqua that need to be batch uploaded and matched to accounts. We have many variations of "company" names in Eloqua so I understand that all company name variations will not match to the official version in the account name, but I'm really hoping the system is smart enough to match fields that are missing an "Inc" at the end, or have "corporation" spelled out, etc...
