Lead classification - what's your experience?

Hi!

 

Anyone out there with experience classifying leads across new (net new) and existing (nurture) leads? We are a BtB software company working globally and currently distinguish our leads as follows:

 

TypeDefinition% (of total leads)
New LeadsNew companies i.e. net new companies
New Contacts / ProspectsNew contacts on existing prospect Accounts
New Contacts / CustomersNew contacts on existing customer Accounts
Nurture Leads / ProspectsExisting contacts from prospects who re-visit their interest in our company/solution
Nurture Leads / CustomersExisting contacts from customers who revisit their interest in our company/solution

 

Do you use similar classifications? Would you recommend other ways?

What is your best performance in terms of share of total?
