Just how different is Eloqua10? | When you first see it, you’ll notice the difference in the user experience right away! It was built using the same developer tools used by Apple and is meant to streamline your workflow and shorten the learning curve. The goal? To make your job easier and faster. One of the biggest changes is in the reporting module, now called Eloqua Insight. It’s very robust but it’s definitely a different approach from what you’re used to in Eloqua9. |
Will Eloqua10 have the same features as Eloqua9 in future? | Eloqua10 reflects market innovation and the changing needs of our savvy customers. This can be seen in such areas as cloud connectors, mobile and social media, or simply improving the way things are done. While all the core marketing automation capabilities are part of Eloqua10, there are some features in Eloqua9 that are still being developed. In addition, we’re adding many new features – or re-architecting of modules – that our customers have asked for. No matter what version of Eloqua you use, we are 100% committed to ensuring you are successful. |
Using Eloqua10 may bring a big change to our processes. | While Eloqua10 seems different, it’s really the same foundation with a fun and more intuitive interface on top. Our goal has always been to minimize disruption to your business, so we’ve invested considerably to prepare your organization for the change. We will work with you to assess the impact of this change, prepare the impacted audience and plan the implementation to ensure that the success can be sustained. You’re not alone! |
When will my company begin to see changes take place? | Changes mentioned in your Summary of Changes document will begin 5 business days prior to your update.Our team requires a bit of time to go through the database to ensure that there will not be any compatibility issues once you have moved to Eloqua10. This is done to ensure all of our clients enjoy a successful update and that we do not run into any issues going forward. |
How long does it take to update? | The actual effort to update the application is less than a day! However, you should allow for at least 22 days for pre-update training. Check out the following document for more information about what to expect on your day of update here. |
What support will I get from Eloqua during the update? | Our goal is to make you as strong in Eloqua10 as you are in Eloqua9, so we’ve developed a customized training and support plan that’s specific for updating customers. Additionally our Smart Update approach ensures that you are successful in hitting the ground running with a 3.5 hour session that allows you to build a live campaign on the day after the actual update to Eloqua10. Why did you choose to do updates during the week rather than the weekend when usage may be lower? | Our goal is to ensure maximum uptime and seamless update to Eloqua10. During this process we invest in cross functional resources at Eloqua and at our partners performing at 100% capacity to enable the change. Weekdays provide unhindered access to troubleshooting resources engaging with you during the process, if required. Additionally, it enables you to attend the Smart Update Workshop and prepare you to create your first campaign in Eloqua10 the day after the physical database update. |
Are the updates taking place during business hours? | Yes the changes are during business hours. Anywhere between 9am - 5pm EST and is broken down into an AM and a PM chunk. The update won't take longer than 4 hours and we will notify you once your update is complete. |
What kind of support will I get after updating to Eloqua10? | You will get support from the Update team for two weeks afterwards for any update related issues. You can also contact our Product Support team for additional assistance. For more information on how to reach them, visit them here. |
I want to stay on Eloqua9. Do I have to update? | We are confident that you will have an enhanced user experience on Eloqua10. While Eloqua10 seems different, it’s really the same foundation with a fun and more intuitive interface on top. If you know how to launch a campaign in Eloqua9, you can quickly adapt to Eloqua10. Our goal is to minimize disruption to your business, so we’ve invested considerably in tools and training to ensure your success before the actual update. How long is the duration of the training modules? | Going through all the eLearning modules available in Eloqua University will take approximately 6 hours. |
Do you have a document of the new Eloqua10 vocabulary? | A good place to get used the new vocabulary is by reading through the E9-E10 guide. |
