Bring on E10...

Hi Guys

We are making the switch from E9 to E10 - in the coming days...

The user interface seems pretty neat and easy to use. And, as is the case with anything new...it is a change for the better.

However, I will really miss some E9 features... wanted to check with the current E10 users - if they can suggest a workaround ...

  1. E10 – does not send out batch sent out – notification – to the email owners’ inbox. We could set this up in E9 - and once the batch has been deployed - the onwer would get a batch successfully sent notification in their inbox. This is very useful for us - when we send out email batches for various regions - and we can't go into the system and check - of the batch was deployed successfully or not.
  2. The Numeric text logic that one could do on numberic form fields – wherein we accept only numeric values to be entered for a given  field– has been disabled in E10. So – this means Eloqua will allow – people to write alphabets in the phone field as well… this will severly harm the data sanity in the system.
  3. In E9 – I could make a form field mandatory and then go ahead and remove the * that the system adds on –to the mandatory filed. However, in E10 – we can’t delete the * symbol from the mandatory fields. Our current forms have – 13-17 fields in there… an asterix(*) mark next to each one of them – looks kind of inappropriate. Besides - reviewing and reducing the number of fields on the forms...is there anyother wayout on this?
  4. As dicussed on this forum - the search for an email using a subject line has been disables as well. This is a feature I will really miss.
