It was bound to happen at some point - the new wave of animated GIFs couldn't just be contained to Tumblr. The use of this bit of eye candy in email is a discussion that's surfaced internally, and I was curious - has anyone used them in their campaigns, and what has the effect been? I can see some purpose-built use for them but used sparingly and specifically. Interested in anyone's experience with these animated sprites in email.
