I need to implement a solution which enables an Eloqua user to choose content (links to videos, but would be good with thumbnails,etc.) from a external platform and embed it into Eloqua emails. This content always contains a link to an event in the third party platform. This platform has reporting capabilities about the events and that data needs to be pushed into Eloqua too (related to each Contact).
The workflow seems simple enough, but I am new to Eloqua (I am a developer) and I have several doubts about the best way to proceed:
- My idea is to develop a Cloud Connector to retrieve this information from inside the Campaign Creation Canvas
- When the user chooses the content, which should be the best way to get it created in Eloqua? I tried shared content, an it worked, but it can't be tracked as per Contact basis (once embeded in emails). I tried to create Custom Data Objects, which it worked too, but the only way to embed that in an email is through Field Merges.
- Is there any clean way to link a Content Section to a Contact? Just like the Custom Data Objects, and get emails filled per Contact in the same way.
